Thai Airways Resume Flights from Lahore Airport
Thai Airways will begin flights from Lahore airport, Minister of Science and Technology Fouad Chaudhry announced. "Thai Airways to start operation from Lahore to Bangkok and beyond with 4 flights a week" he said. Airspace was closed so Thai Airways temporarily closed flights to Lahore and Islamabad. Now Thai Airways will return flights from Pakistan. 5,000 passengers suffered due to the cancellation of flights. The representative of Thai Airways announces that 4000 passengers from European flights and 700 to 800 flights to Pakistan have suffered. Indian airlines and some other airlines have suffered significant losses due to closed airspace. According to the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), more than seven international companies including British Airways, Lufthansa, Norwegian Airlines, Air France and Saudi Arabian Airlines, are regaining air operations over Pakistan. These airlines communicate with the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) to restore aviation operations. After 11 years, Air France will begin flying operations in Pakistan. Germany's largest airline, Lufthansa, will start operations shortly after visiting Pakistan. In 2008, British Airways suspended flights from Pakistan, but 10 years later the first BAW-261 flight with 240 passengers landed at Islamabad International Airport from Heathrow.
